Directions
Head out Washington Fields Road towards the airport, continue under highway 7 onto dirt road. Take your first right turn on the dirt road. You will cross over a cattle guard, keep going! You will keep driving 1.3 miles to another cattle guard, keep going! Next you will drive about 1 mile and turn left when you reach the fork in the road. Go .9 miles and pass the coral on the right. Right after the coral, turn right and cross another cattle guard. Cross over the dry river bed and go until you reach another fork in the road and go left. Keep going .9 miles and Glitter Mountain will be on your right!

As you can see it’s really like a mound of dirt with crystals that glitters when the sun is shining. There is also a large pit where you can see the crystals on the ground and walls. In the last year or so they have added the last sign allowing you to take some pieces of crystal but ask that you pay for it!
My kids love going to Glitter mountain and collecting some crystals! We always have fun searching for the coolest shaped, biggest, or shiniest Crystals!
